About This Role
Green Africa, a Nigerian value airline, is hiring experienced Captains to command its ATR 72-500/600 turboprop fleet, based in Lagos, Nigeria. The position is full time and onsite within Flight Operations at an advanced experience level, with the Captain acting as commander responsible for the safety of the aircraft, crew, passengers, and cargo during normal and abnormal operations. Candidates must hold an ICAO ATPL with a current ATR 72-500/600 type rating, a minimum of 6000 total flying hours, and at least 2000 airline command hours on the ATR 72-500/600 series.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Captain acts as the commander of the aircraft during all normal and abnormal situations so that safety is maintained at the highest possible level.
- The Captain will also set, maintain and demonstrate high professional standards in all aspects of their position and act as the brand ambassador so that the corporate image of Green Africa is upheld at all times.
- The Captain is responsible for the safety of the aircraft, crew, passengers, and cargo at all times while in command of the aircraft and maintaining an efficient operation.
Requirements
- Hold an ICAO ATPL with the ATR 72-500/600 type rating
- First class medical certificate
- ICAO level 5 English or above
- A minimum of 6000 total flying hours
- At least 2000 airline command hours on the ATR 500/600 series
- Must have flown within the last 12 months
