About This Role
Voyageur Aviation Corp. seeks a Direct Entry Captain for Dash 8-300 aerial firefighting operations based in North Bay, Ontario. Requires minimum 1500 total hours, 500 PIC hours, and 250 hours on Dash 8 with current type rating. Rotational position: 8 weeks in-field, 8 weeks off.
Requirements
- Valid CPL or ATPL license
- Minimum 1500 hours total flight time
- Minimum 500 hours PIC time
- Minimum 250 hours on Dash 8 aircraft
- Current DH8 type-rating
- Meet Transport Canada requirements to operate Dash 8 aircraft
- Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate (implied)
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
- Clear Criminal Background Check required
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Willing to work overnight shifts
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills
