About This Role
Air New Zealand is seeking Second Officers for their jet fleet (B787/B777) or First Officers for A320/A321. This is an expression of interest for external pilots to join the jet fleet. Requires 1500 total hours and eligibility to live/work in New Zealand or Australia.
Requirements
- NZCAA CPL or ATPL license
- NZCAA Class 1 Medical Certificate
- Minimum 1500 hours total flight time
- Minimum 100 hours multi-engine aeroplane
- Minimum 100 hours ATO (Approved Training Organisation)
- Minimum 40 hours instrument flight time
- Minimum 25 hours night flying
- NZCAA BTK/BGT qualification
- University Entrance or equivalence
- L6 English Language Proficiency or greater
- MEIR (Multi-Engine Instrument Rating)
- New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, Australian citizen, or Australian permanent resident
- Valid passport
- Ability to travel overseas
- Meet one of: 12+ months multi-crew multi-turbine Part 121/125 turboprop command (MCTOW 7765kg+, IFR), OR 12+ months Part 121/125 jet first officer experience, OR Part 121/125 jet captain experience, OR 12+ months RNZAF/other air force multi-crew multi-turbine fixed wing command experience
- No prior employment with Air New Zealand, Mount Cook Airline, Air Nelson, or Eagle Airways within the last 8 years (for turboprop pilots)
