About This Role
Silver Air Private Jets is hiring an experienced Captain for its Gulfstream GIV based at Teterboro, New Jersey. The Captain holds command authority for the safe, prudent operation of the aircraft, ensuring every flight is conducted in accordance with Silver Air's policies and procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations while safeguarding passengers, aircraft and crew. This is a full-time, onsite role within a 24/7 operation that demands a flexible schedule, reporting to hiring manager Michael Langston.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Review the maintenance status of the aircraft to confirm airworthiness
- conduct a proper pre-flight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual
- check weather and facilities along the planned route and for all departure, destination and alternate airports
- ensure each flight is conducted in accordance with Silver Air's policies and procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
- ensure the safety of all passengers, aircraft and crew
- and accurately complete all trip paperwork in accordance with current procedures.

Requirements
- The role requires 3,500 hours total time in all aircraft, including 3,000 hours as pilot-in-command
- 3,000 hours multi-engine time, of which 2,000 hours as PIC
- and 200 hours in the aircraft type, including 100 hours as PIC. A minimum of 1,750 hours total turbine time is preferred. Applicants must be type rated on the Gulfstream GIV or a comparable aircraft and hold a valid First Class Medical Certificate. Previous Part 135 experience is preferred but not required. Candidates must comply with ICAO Annex I (2.1.1.0) as it applies to aircraft engaged in international commercial air transport operations with more than one pilot, and must be able to obtain and maintain CANPASS authorization for unrestricted travel to and from Canada as a commercial pilot. Strong customer-service, communication, organizational, time-management and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the flexibility to work on call, including nights, weekends and holidays, in a 24/7 operation.

- Total Turbine time = 1750 hours
- Previous Part 135 experience. This is preferred, but not required.
