About This Role
Qatar Aeronautical Academy is seeking an experienced MPL Instructor with A320 type rating to deliver Multi-Crew Pilot License phase training. The academy is a leading aviation training institution in the Middle East focused on providing higher education and expert training in aviation. Candidates must have a minimum of 1500 hours in multi-crew operations, 1000 hours on aircraft above 20,000 kg, A320 type rating, and ICAO Level 4 English proficiency. Additional qualifications include completed MPL instructor training, initial CRM course, and appropriate phase-specific ratings (FI(A), IRI(A), SFI(A), or TRI(A) depending on phase assignment). Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver MPL phase training according to international standards
- Conduct flight instruction and simulator-based training
- Assess pilot competency and provide constructive feedback
- Develop and maintain training materials for MPL courses
- Mentor and guide students through multi-crew operational procedures
- Ensure compliance with QCAA and ICAO training standards
Requirements
- Hold or have held professional pilot license acceptable to QCAA
- Airline Pilot with A320 type rating
- Fluency in English (minimum ICAO Level 4)
- Minimum 1500 hours in multi-crew operational environment
- Minimum 1000 hours on aircraft above 20,000 kg
- Experience in delivery of MPL-related phase training
- Completed MPL instructor training course
- Completed initial CRM course
- Phase 2: FI(A) or IRI(A) and IR(A)/ME/MCC with 1500 hours multi-crew and IR(A) instructional privileges, or FI(A) and MCCI(A), or FI(A) and SFI(A), or FI(A) and TRI(A)
- Phase 3 and 4: SFI(A) or TRI(A)
- Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate (implied)
