About This Role
Kluane Airways, a charter float plane operator based in Yukon Territory, Canada, is hiring a DHC-2 Beaver seaplane pilot for the 2026 season. The airline operates from Inconnu Lodge near Finlayson Lake, providing air services to remote climbing areas in the NWT and remote rivers in the Yukon. Candidates must have a minimum of 1000 total flight hours with 500 hours on floats, preferably with DHC-2 Beaver experience, and weigh 200 lbs or less. The position offers accommodation and meals included at the base lodge with a salary of CAD $9,000-$13,000 per month depending on experience, plus a minimum of 300 flying hours guaranteed.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate DHC-2 Beaver float planes on charter flights
- Transport climbers, canoeists, and kayakers to remote locations
- Conduct pre-flight inspections and safety checks
- Manage aircraft operations in remote wilderness areas
- Coordinate with lodge and ground operations teams

Requirements
- Minimum 1000 hours total flight time
- 500 hours float plane experience
- DHC-2 Beaver float plane experience preferred
- Pilot weight 200 lbs or less
- Valid Canadian pilot license (CPL minimum)
- Valid Class 4 Medical Certificate
- Float plane rating
- Remote area operations experience preferred
